WINGS Birding Tours – Photo Gallery

Oman

We stand a good chance of seeing Sooty Falcons near our first hotel. Heading north, we should encounter such wintering raptors as Eastern Imperial Eagle… …and Greater Spotted Eagle… while the smaller regional specialties could include the dramatic Black-crowned Finch-Lark… …and Red-wattled Lapwing. Among the decidedly Afrotropical birdlife of Salalah, on the coast of the Arabian Sea, are such species as this African Silverbill… …and this colorful Gray-headed Kingfisher. The dapper Hume’s Wheatear is one of several wheatear species found on this tour. Sykes’s Warbler may be an identification challenge… …but no one could say the same of these Blue-cheeked Bee-eaters.
