Jamaica is beautiful and fascinating…

…and hosts a delightful mix of endemic birds like Red-billed Streamertail…

…and Antillean species including the usually under cover Loggerhead Kingbird.

We’ll visit all of Jamaica’s important habitats from the mountains…

…to the coast…

…and thanks to our superb leader Rich Hoyer…

…we hope to see all the endemic birds including the endearing Jamaican Tody…

…and the pink toed Blue Mountain Vireo.

The handsome Jamaican Oriole is merely a “near endemic”…

…while the microscopic Vervain Hummingbird is a distinctive endemic subspecies.

The Jamaican Owl is not particularly shy…

…and with some birds there are privacy issues (Sad Flycatcher)

We stay in comfortable places (that’s our bus)…

…some elegant…

…including Marshall’s Pen, a Jamaican “Great House” and home to our host Ann Haynes-Sutton….

…who serves delicious plates of food…

…outdoors…

…surrounded by Orangequits (the bird, not the fruit).

We’ll look at everything such as the Jamaican Longtail…

…endemic False Androgeus Swallowtails…

…bizarre Jamaican Twig Anole…

…and some amazing orchids.

Caffeine addicts can sample the celebrated Blue Mountain Coffee at a plantation….

…and we’ll all soak up the Island’s atmosphere…

…and return home with memories.
