Yann Kolbeinsson lives in Iceland where his ornithological interests favor seabirds, waterfowl and shorebirds. He is currently engaged in a studies of Manx Shearwater, Common Murre and the ecology of Red and Red-necked Phalaropes, and he loves finding rarities and vagrants in Iceland.
Yann has traveled widely in southern Europe, North and South America, and East Africa and with his language fluency - Icelandic, English and French - he’ll be involved going forward in our tours in France and French-speaking West Africa. He’s also long been interested in Turkey and has recently returned from an extensive scouting expedition to this magnificent region; we expect a tour will soon result.
