Birds and Music/Birds and...
The Birds and… series offer tours that combine birdwatching with other pursuits, usually cultured but occasionally involving different aspects of natural history.
The Birds and Music tours are often built around a music festival which we attend, with birdwatching taking place in the mornings or occasionally before or after the festival. In a few cases we craft our own “festival” from an array of independent musical offerings.
The Birds and History tours tend to visit places of great archeological interest and many of these are also excellent for birds, especially during migration. Birds and History tours vary a bit in the mix of birdwatching and culture but in all cases the division of activities is clear in the itinerary.
Each Birds and… tour is led by people highly knowledgeable as birdwatchers and as musicologists/historians/lepidopterists, etc. Usually one leader is skilled in both arenas but in some cases we have two leaders, each with a particular interest.
The Birds and… tours have been enduringly popular. If they overlap your interests, we highly recommend them.
