Yann Kolbeinsson
One of Iceland’s leading birders, Yann Kolbeinsson has traveled widely in southern Europe and North America. Yann is particularly interested in the waterfowl and shorebirds that are so fascinating a part of the Icelandic avifauna; he is currently engaged in a study of the ecology of Red and Red-necked Phalaropes in Iceland. When not conducting research, Yann enjoys finding rarities and vagrants in Iceland.
