William Perez
Willy Perez holds a degree in Physical Science and Mathematics from Ecuador’s Colegio Nacional Amazonas. He has been a professional guide specializing in bilingual birding tours since 1996; his other professional experience in the field includes scientific work on Andean Spectacled Bears, coordination of a program to protect marine turtles, and an investigation of the impact of human activity on the birds of northwest Ecuador.
A member of the staff of Neblina Forest Birding Tours since 2002, Willy has led bird and nature tours in Bolivia, Costa Rica, and Ecuador, including the Galapagos. He has been active in the training of local guides, and is a frequent lecturer, in English and in Spanish, on birding and conservation issues in the Neotropics.
