János Olah
János Olah graduated from the University of Debrecen, Department of Ecology, and continues his PhD studies in Ecology. His thesis work is on mineral cycling guilds of aquatic birds. In Hungary he conducts field ornithological studies on the steppe with a keen interest in shorebirds. János is a member of the Hungarian Rarity Committee and the operator of the Hungarian Birdline. In the last few years he has helped guiding western European and American birders in the Zemplén Foothills and on the Carpathians in Slovakia and Transylvania. János is fond of bird photography, publishing pictures in Birding World and several Hungarian journals. He speaks fluent English.
