Greg Corman
Greg Corman grew up in Minnesota but, as a teenager, escaped the cold for sunny Arizona to study botany. The desert heat ignited a passion for travel that led him to career stints in other hot spots including Australia and the Middle East. He returned to Arizona in 1994 and has become a respected horticulturist and landscape designer in Tucson. As owner of Gardening Insights Inc., he creates water thrifty gardens using Southwest native species and strange plants from other deserts of the world.
When not working, Greg enjoys travel to offbeat places like Yemen and Venezuela, baking bread, playing poker, and hiking and fishing. He has BS and MS degrees from the University of Arizona and University of Maryland, respectively.
Greg is a new associate leader for WINGS, but he’s lead several “tree tours” in Arizona for a local environmental organization and was the botanical host for a trip to Copper Canyon in Sonora, Mexico.
