Rod Cassidy
Rod Cassidy was brought up in Durban, South Africa, and after leaving school spent three years in Namibia. A fanatical birder from childhood, he has worked at the Fitzpatrick Institute of African Ornithology in Cape Town and the Transvaal Museum in Pretoria, and has also spent time studying seabirds in the Antarctic. He has been watching birds in all the southern African countries plus Uganda, Gabon and Ethiopia as well as traveling further afield to Central America, the Caribbean and Asia. Rod now works as a full-time birdwatching guide.
