WINGS Tour Leaders – Bruno Raveloson

Bruno Raveloson

Bruno Raveloson started his career in 1991 as a bird-keeper at Tsimbazaza Zoo in Antananarivo, Madagascar. After a training course at the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust in Jersey (U.K 1996) and at Vogel Park Walsrode (Germany 2001), he participated in field work throughout Madagascar with scientists from several countries (U.K, Japan, Germany, and U.S.A).

He has worked with various projects and organizations since 2003 as an Ornithologist Consultant, including Birdlife International’s Madagascar Program (Asity Madagascar), the World Wide Fund and Conservation International Madagascar. He has conducted field surveys of birds across Madagascar and has a solid reputation as one of the outstanding field birders in the country. He is particularly skilled at identifying birds by their songs and calls and is eager to share his knowledge with others.

Since 2006 Bruno has also worked with a tour operator as a freelance guide for birders, professional photographers and film crews from all over the world (U.K, U.S.A, Australia, Japan, Germany, Canada, Hong Kong, etc.).
