Our tour of Poland starts in the south-east of the country, in the picturesque Carpathian foothills…

…where Nutcrackers inhabit the large coniferous forests…

…and superb Black Storks sail overhead…

…while birds such as this Red-backed Shrike are a common sight.

Moving north through the country we visit one of Poland’s last remaining Bee-eater colonies…

…and numerous fishponds are home to the impressive Great Reed Warbler…

…as well as migrant shorebirds such as this Temminck’s Stint.

When we arrive in the ancient Bialowieza Forest we should see the spectacular Red-breasted Flycatcher…

…and hopefully many woodpeckers, including the much-sought-after White-backed…

…and the handsome Great Spotted.

The vast Siemianowka Lake on the Belarus border holds breeding Citrine Wagtail…

…and many pairs of Marsh Harrier.

Our tour concludes in the huge natural floodplain of the Biebrza Marshes - home to thousands of waterbirds including breeding White Storks…

…and flocks of delicate White-winged Black Terns.
